i'm thinking about going to Toronto for a month or two. does anyone know of cheap accommodation preferably with a small kitchen?

One thing I would do is avoid the St Lawrence Residences And Suites. I nearly stayed there a few years back but was warned off by locals... and judging by a quick look at Trip Advisor reviews that advice still stands.
