Please tell us which country you're in. This is UK-based website (although, of course, questions and answers are welcome from anywhere).

In the UK, law is studied at university (rather than at 'law school') and, with a few limited exceptions, there are no scholarships. The wording of your question suggests that you might be in the USA but unless you tell us where you are nobody will be able to make any suggestions.

If you are in the USA, you might not get many replies on this site because most people from the USA probably don't look at the 'Law' section as it's mainly about UK law. However, you stand even less chance of getting any meaningful replies if you don't state where you are.

oh thx.im from the USA,but i would gladdly travel to the UK to go to a Law University.
i really like the UK,i like it i would move.
Although it is only one of a few guides around, I would suggest The Times' University Guide, which may be found at
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/section/0,,8403,0 0.html
But be warned, law is a fiercely competitive business (Speaking from experience) and these guides do not take into account student satisfaction or the like. You'll need to do your best to view the institutions in person (Difficult, I know) and have the best possible grades that you can.

i kinow about the grades and thx.i'll click the link.i have 4 years yet but im trying to get a leg up!!!
Just a tip for you but if you contact any of the law schools please do not write in text speak.
Aberystwyth (west wales coast)was great for law where I went and living is a lot cheaper than in the cities. it's a gorgeous place to be too and a real community feel.

I know a lot of people who studied in Manchester where I live and work now and they loved it.

Nottingham was the place of choice when I was going through or the College of Law (all over) is very popular for law school (Legal Practice Course etc...)

Although some American students do study law in the UK, there are obvious problems with this: The UK has different statutes, different case law and different legal systems to the USA. A UK law degree might not carry much weight for someone seeking employment in the USA.

As I don't like posting 'non-answers', I've tried to find some suitable information, about law schools in the USA, on the web for you. The only problem is that I've found so many pages of information it would take ages to post all of the links! Instead, I suggest that you try your own Google search for "choosing a law school". (Remember to include the double quote marks). You'll find lots of information, which I hope you may find helpful.

To back up what Chris said a friend of mine did her Psychology degree in Canada then came over here to go a law degree as you can't do it at undergraduate level in te states and Canada.

She only had to do 2 years of law degree here as she already had a degree (not sure of the exact circs though).

She then moved to NYS and had to do another year and a half at Buffalo to get on the New York Bar to practice.

I'm qualified here but would have to do the relevant bar exam to practice qualified in the states.

It means write in proper English, not in stupid, hard to read text type.
You will not even get accepted for a job in Walmart if you write like that never mind pass a college interview!

Obviously!

iffire itelyk disduh sitmay kittenny eezi urtu reed??
Question Author
OMFG i dont type that fuc king bad! and the space is there so u can see it. im not stupid enough to type like that on a fuc king interview of an application. DUH!
omg you are almost that bad! And if you know not to use it on an application then why use it when asking for advice on here? The Fs are really needed either
i wasn't suggesting you type like that.
i was making the point that when people write in any other way than proper english it becomes hard to read for others and therefore a little irritating.

could you read what i wrote?

read it out loud and you will see

i was just trying to clear up your apparent confusion regarding redcrx's comment.

and thanks for adding the space to fuc king so i could see it - it really got your point across in an eloquent and intelligent manner. I am also terribly scared of you now.

and "DUH!" is an incredibly witty thing to write, genius in fact - though, not when you have just said you don't understand a simple sentence, and are even confused about it...and someone has clarified the situation - kind of backfires on you a bit.
