All the Hotels in Windsor are good but very expensive as they cater for Tourists from abroad mostly, I would suggest you look to stay somewhere near, Burnham, is a very short drive, or Dorney, if you look on the net, and best to park in Eton and walk over bridge to Windsor,You say early June remember Ascot is June 20th this year, have a nice time a great place to see I know the area very well, worth a visit to Eton School very interesting times of tours vary but will find them at Tourist information which is opposite castle in Windsor they would also advise places to stay if you look at their site.

If you try http://www.hotelconnexions.com/anitexmlgateway.asp these offer the lowest prices at UK hotels for short breaks and they mayhave something suitable. Have a look at Slough as well - couple of miles the other way from Windsor rather than the Burnham side. Plenty of hotel chains there.

Or couple of suggestions also close by - The Chequers Inn at Wooburn Common is a good, proper inn not too far away, or try Dorney, Taplow or there are a couple of other nice places around the Wooburn area, or see: http://www.s-h-systems.co.uk/windsor.html for Windsor hotels on Smoothhound site - directory of accommodation with links and grading.

Thanks Pega & Nickmo I will have a look around those areas. I am actually going to Twickenham and wanted to stay a bit further out. Thanks again!

I stayed a ten-minute drive from Windsor at the Runnymede hotel, in February, and it was really good.

I booked a birthday surprise for my boyfriend through lastminute.com and got a deal at The Christopher Wren which is RIGHT on the bridge....
apparently queenie knocks up a rather good b&b. not sure how to book it though.
