ORLANDO
HI ,THREE FRIENDS AND I GOING TO ORLANDO , BUT NONE OF US ARE DRIVERS. WE WOULD LIKE AN APT OR VILLA, DOES ANYONE KNOW OF AN AREA WHERE IT IS EASY TO GET THEME PARK BUSES OR INEXPENSIVE TAXIS, AND WHERE THERE IS SOME ENTERTAINMENT AT NIGHT ,FOR YOUNG AT HEART MIDDLE AGED LADIES, APPRECIATE ANY INFO THANKS

Stay on International Drive, that is the most central place and you can get to all the theme parks from there. Loads of places to eat and drink on International Drive.
If you get an apartment or villa it is likely to be very isolated and you may have trouble finding a taxi, and being near anywhere to eat or drink.
The theme parks are very spread out in Orlando, the Disney complex with its various theme parks and hotels etc is as large as Manchester.
If it is your first time buy a book like "Brits guide to Orlando" which will give you all sorts of advice.

Also agree with VHG, International Drive is really easy without a car. If you get the Virgin brochure, there is a lot of information about the areas to stay. There is a trolley bus that runs up and down International Drive that will take you to Sea World and Wet n Wild (and near Universal studios), and you can choose a hotel that offers a free bus service to Disney. Personally, I find the brochure easy to read, maybe i just tend to flit around too much looking on the internet, even if you are not thinking of booking with them.

Avoid the height of summer as it is very hot and humid.
Check when the school holidays in the USA are as the parks are busy then.
Try to avoid Easter as that is very busy.
I went in February a few years ago and it was pretty quiet, and the weather was very good (t shirts and shorts weather).

I-Drive is a good base. June would be a good time to visit. The weather will be warm by then, it can be unpredictable earlier, although usually good from Easter. It's after the school hols here and the spring break over there. Lots of the hotels have a courtesy bus to the parks, they are spread out over a huge area. Sea World, Aquatica, Wet n Wild, Universal and Islands of Adventure are nearby. Disney is c.40 mins away and Bush Gardens (our favourite) is c. hour and half from I-Drive. There are lots of shows and restaurants as well. I-Drive is busy enough to be able to walk about safely at night in a group.
