buenos noches senorita robinia (:O)
One can't actually "own" property (if you're a foreign national) in Mexico if it's within the 50 km boundary of the coastal zone. It's held in trust with the Mexican government. You'll be told that it's the same as ownership, but I've friends that have experienced difficulties when wishing to transfer ownership or when a named heir wishes to claim ownership after the death of the original owner... Caveat emptor is the word of the day... and the correct phrase for your greeting to Robina considering the time of day would be "Buneos tardes..."
Best of luck!

well that should get us the best rooms in the apartment ...I'd like room service please :o)
I may regret saying that.....
Oh the good news is, I do not have to have anymore fisio, but bad news is shoulder bone has a crack which shouldn't be there, so am awaiting more appointments at the hospital. Still that won't affect my nude sunbathing. This is a bit like home from home!
Acapulco... it seems so familiar...

I have been here before,
But when or how I cannot tell:
I know the grass beyond the door,
The sweet keen smell,
The sighing sound, the lights around the shore.

You have been mine before,--
How long ago I may not know:
But just when at that swallow's soar
Your neck turn'd so,
Some veil did fall,--I knew it all of yore.

Has this been thus before?
And shall not thus-

Oh **** now i remember

Sorry 'bout your shoulder Neti - but it will heal? Sounds "healable". Ha ha I loved the keyboard player aboard the Yorkshire Airlines, Robinia!

Back a little later. (PS, poet: Dante Gabriel Rossetti.)
hi Kit...there's only one thing around here that's going to be familiar......
clue: it's bean stew on the menu

I'll pop a few of the jumping ones in Vinny's....he'll be gone with the wind...haha.
I'm sure I don't know what you mean, Robinia.

So here's my essay on Facebook, by Neti demand: Basically it's a social network site that different people use in different ways - to stay in touch with old friends, to make new ones, or to make acquaintances within your line of business or within whatever interest you may have.

When you sign up you are given the tools to create your own profile = your own page. You do the privacy settings yourself, i e you decide who's allowed to see what. My guess is that most people make the "allow only my friends to see this" choice for most of the things they put on display - but different people define "friends" very differently! Technically, a friend on Facebook is someone you've invited into your circle or someone whose request for friendship you yourself have accepted. When you're "friends" you can view each other's profiles (as much as the other person has allowed) and you'll be able to see what friends they have and if you have any in common (which you might not even have been aware of.)

There's a box called Posted Items that I plan to use as my own personal musical billboard; I've started posting YouTube links to it and they appear as small and easily clickable emblems. I've also added the Fun Wall application, where I'll... er... be funny... which in my case means posting funny YouTube clips and cartoons to it. My Facebook friends are able to post there too, as am I on theirs, if they've added that application.

(continued below)
(continued)

But you don't have to add anything if that seems messy to you; there's a regular Wall as well where "friends" can leave their messages for all to see, or, if they prefer, they can send you a message to your private inbox. Anyone on Facebook can send you a message, even if they don't know you, but you can block them if their attention is undesired.

What else. Oh you can upload photos and organize them in different albums (and, again, choose who's allowed to see what) and there's another function you may use as a blog, I think it's called Notes.

This is about as far as I've got. I've noticed that the young ones "poke" each other a lot, but that's not for me. As I say, different people find different ways to use Facebook. I won't be very active, nor do I have many "friends", but it does seem like a bit of fun.

Saw your reply re Neal Street, jno, thanks anyway. Bye, all!

very nice ambience, but I hope the sunbathing is unisex

Kit, don't forget nothing that's 'private' on the internet is ever really private. There are stories in the papers about people being refused employment because interviewers have googled them and read their Facebook or MySpace pages with horror
