I'm considering investing in a digital SLR & ordinarily would go for a Canon EOS 300D as I currently have the 35mm equivalent of it.  However, if at some point in the future, I was to do some freelancing work, I think I would need a camera considered more 'proffessional' than this.  Can anyone reccomend one?

Thanks x

as an owner of the above camera I find that taking lots of photos in rapid succession is a problem. The camera can't write the data to the memory card fast enough! It depends on the kind of freelance work you want to do as otherwise it's a very good camera.

There is the Nikon D70 which is a direct competitor to the EOS 300D, in fact they are having a bit of a price war at the moment so shop around for the best deal.

Havnt Canon just released a 350D?

look at the Canon 10D or 20D

also dont forget the speed of the compact flash card also has a bearing on the amount of pictures you can take in a burst.
