i have a new blackberry curve, i have done everything the instructions say but it wont let me ring out or send text messages it comes up with 'operator determined barring'
any help? do i need to ring up and activate it or not?

Is it PAYT or a contract handset? Is it an upgrade? Is it a new sim card or your original? Can you check to see if the phone is locked to a network, if it is then check you have the right sim card. Also check with your network that all barrs are lifted.
