Hi awhile back I bought a toshiba recorder with twin tuners. I was told to be sure of twin tuners so when digital came here I could watch one channel whilst watching another. This I can do but only if recording on sky can watch freeview or vice versa. Is there a way to set this up to only sky programs so I can watch one and record one program or is it just freeview i could do this with? hope someone can help as you can read i have absolutely no idea about this. thanks

will only apply to freeview channels as sky is received via subscribed sat dish not your digtal pickup by aerial
You need one tuner for each 'active' channel (i.e. one that you're either watching or recording).

Your recording device has two tuners for terrestrial digital TV (i.e. Freeview) built into it, so that, even if you'd not got Sky, you could use one tuner to watch one Freeview channel while using the other tuner to record a different one.

Adding your Sky box to your system adds a SINGLE tuner for satellite TV to what you've got. You can use that tuner to watch a Sky channel, or to record from it, but (because there is only one tuner) you can't watch satellite TV and record from it at the same time.
