To all fellow iPhone users....

I have had my iPhone for nearly a year and as I use it for work email, Internet and as an iPod at the gym, I charge it every night and always have done. However, lately, I've noticed that the battery power runs out earlier and earlier everyday. I charge it for the same amount of time every night and take it off charge at the same time and don't use it any more than I did when I first got it. I just wondered if anyone had an iPhone and experienced the same thing? Also, I have heard iPhones only have a certain life span, is this true, as I am planning to keep my iPhone when my next upgrade is due. If it is the battery dying, can iPhone batteries be replaced?

Did you read the instruction manual?
"Be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down)"

If it's still under warranty, have it checked in an Apple store if you are close enough to one. If the battery is bad it is likely they will change it for you. Back it up before you go to the store so you can restore your data etc to the new phone when you return

Thanks for this.

Buenchico - I am having to charge my phone from dead every night now because the battery dies before I have finished using it for the day, sometimes befoire I even get home. - Maybe I should have started my use of the phone like this?!!

Milvus - I got my phone from Vodafone as an upgrade on an exisiting contract. - Do you think an Apple store would refer me to them? Good idea though as either way, it must still be in warranty as I got it in January last year! Hopefully they will be able to sort something out as I use the phone for absolutely everything!!
The apple shop won't refer you back to Vodafone. They will deal with it in the shop. You can book an appointment over the internet. Choose your store from here http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/ The store page has the booking features when you open it
the iphone batteries are simple enough to replace, i've linked a video for you to watch.
would save paying a stupid amount for someone to do it for you.
