evening all,
can anyone help please?
a friend has installed the latest version of windows live messenger and hes having proplems with the chat thing on it.
can anyone tell me (so i can pass the info on) how he starts/opens up a chat box, or sends me an offline message so i will see it when i next sign in.
hes saying its not like the older version, and he cant see what he needs to do now.
when he tries, it comes up with options including 'send a text message' but he says theres nothing to open a chat box to start a conversation or leave me an offliner.

No offline message facility but you can see who is online, click on name & type into box & enter.

really?! theres no offline fascility? howcome?
on the version i have (not the latest updated one) i just click on a name in my contacts, even if theryre not online, and it opens a chat box up where i can leave a message for when they next sign in.
so youre saying that no longer applies with the new version?..... tut.
