Will be looking to buy a 32" LCD TV in December. Looking to spend around £300. Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy one? Am fed up with Currys terrible service so not them.

You could do worse than look at John Lewis. You will get a free 5 year guarantee with their TVs.
If you are confident about installing it yourself, then probably a trawl through t'Internet will get you a good deal.
argos
ebay
Ditto chuck, they are sometimes cheaper than Currys etc.

Thanks for the answers. Have no problem installing it myself so any reputable websites would be good. Can't think why I didn't already think of JL. I guess I just always have ££££££ in my mind when I think of them but they're not any more than others really. Not confident with buying one off Ebay really.
I love John Lewis'..........and their after sales service is excellent.

Wow! Some great deals on Richer Sounds! Thanks Chuck!
www.digitaldirect.co.uk
Echo what's said above....John Lewis were superb and got free 5yrs guarantee ( Currys wanted an extra £150 for three yrs)

bought a Samsung and very happy with it :0)
Milly don't disagree about JL service but you can get a lot of stuff cheaper, don't know where you live but if you are antwhere near Lakeside theres a place called Best Buy however guarantees are no where as good as JL.

I would also think about waiting until after Xmas as you could get a really good deal even at JL.
whats the "poor service issue with currys has you old set been a problem?
John Lewis,Same prices as Currys, etc, but FREE 5 Year Guarantee
I had a better deal from my Independent TV Retailer than any of the well known Retailers, so check them out first. Buy cheap Buy twice so buy wisely !!
we bought ours at TESCO it was cheaper than anywhare else and its been fantastic.no probs at all and no delivery to wait in for you can take it with you.
My first choice was Richer sounds ... get their best price for the tv along with 5 years insurance. (the 5 year insurance will be 10% of the value of your tv).
Get John Lewis's best price for the same item along with the insurance.
Phone whoever gives you the most expensive quote and tell them the competitors price .... both will price match and also give a little bit extra to get the sale.
I`ve always been happy with Comet. They`re handy for me and I bought my TV there 6 months ago. They will match the price of Currys, John Lewis etc. Because they are out of town I find they have a better range and their service is quite good. I`ve no complaints. Most tvs shouldn`t require a 5 year guarantee. If they pack up before 5 years, I would`ve thought that`s unusal (mind you my Sony did which is why I wouldn`t buy their cr*p)
I'll give my backing to Chuck's suggestion. Richer Sounds is a wonderful company, with cheap prices and knowledgeable staff.

Some great suggestions. Thanks Guys.

RE Currys - we didn't get our current TV from them so it's not that one has broken down but we did go and buy a laptop from them recently and I have never met such incompetance. (other than my spelling maybe). I won't go into the details or I'll just wind myself up.

Buenchico - do you work for Richer Sounds? That's a rather glowing report. :o)
Have you looked at www.ebuyer.com? (Nothing to do with ebay).
