only if PC has WiFi, many PC dont have WiFi most laptops do.
I should also have added that your router also needs to have WiFi, many do have it, you will need to check your handbooks.

ok thx ratter15
Either get a better quality phone extension, or get a longer "yellow lead" (correctly called a ethernet cable)

(yes I know that ones not Yellow!)
I had the same problem. I have a BT Wireless Broadband ADSL router beside the phone and a Trendnet USB adaptor which you stick into a slot in tower. This means no wires are required between router and computer tower. Hope this helps.
If it's at all possible it's far better to keep desktop computers connected using wires, wired is superior to wireless in every way apart from portability, which is not really a benefit for desktops.
Flood wire your house in Cat6.
Just kidding.
I have half CAT6 cabled my house :)
I wouldn't have expected anything less Chuck.
Well it seemed a shame to waste the left over wall boxes and cable from a job :)
I can't be bothered to cable mine so I'll put up with my wireless connection, I did run a long lead down the stairs but it didn't stand up to Molly chewing through it.
molly of course being a miniature schnauzer and not a regular poster on here.
