Epson printer problem

Have had problems with Epson printer/scanner/photocopier several times - sick of it! It's refusing to print our own stuff (i.e. stuff we've typed) but will print googled pieces. Our own work comes out with squiggly lines or missing chunks. Took it back to shop (again) and they said it needed the heads cleaned - followed on-screen instructions and it said it didn't recognise the blue ink and wouldn't proceed. Removed blue injk to see if that would change anything - guess what? Zilch. Only using Epson ink (our old HP printer accepted compatible inks but this monster won't). The Epson helpline is c*ap. Really stuck. Can anyone advise please?

Missing chunks from print usually means heads need cleaning. When I had an Epsom, it once took 5 cleaning sessions. That was after a few years though otherwise one session was enough.. Print a test page each time. Not sure why it prints web prints ok and not your own work though! Maybe check the cable connections. If all fails, might be time to get a refund if it's under warranty.
