When I take the plug out of my laptop, the green light is still on, on the black box attached to the plug wire. Does this mean that there is still power in the plug and could it keep charging the laptop even though I have unplugged it ?

If you take the plug out of the laptop but don't disconnect the power at the wall, then yes, there will still be power in the plug but it won't be charging the battery as it is not connected to the laptop.
Does it continue to carry on charging on laptop - be warned that you might find its actually on battery power so dont leave work unsaved as might suddenly die so not worth risking ?

I didn't explain very well. I meant, when i take the plug out of the WALL, the green light is still on the box. But when I checked the logo just now, even though the green light is on, when the plug is out of the wall, the logo shows that it is not still charging. Hope this makes sense now ...... and I have answered my own question .. doh ..
