It has probably been asked before, but can I recored Sky on one of those usb tv recorders?I have a Grundig one and thought that since it had a scart input(says for dvd, which by the way works fine)it would be a case of plugging the Sky box in and away I go.Not the case.Even the VCR wont work via the scart. The only thing that does is the dvd player, which over-rides the digital tv picture,I cannot choose to watch tv if the dvd player is switched on.Is this just the way things are or do I have a faulty Tv recorder?
Why can I not record Sky this way?Is it cos Sky are mean or the people that make the tv recorder only want you to record on their machine?
Thanks for any answers.

Sky, Tele, Dvd player override stuff...
This sounds like the question about the remote control not working.
Maybe it's as simple as calibration...
