I have purchased the above to power a small digital radio, but although they are fully charged they won`t work in said radio. Why? tia.

Check the voltage on your rechargable batteries. chances are if they are AAA, AA or C cells they will be only 1.2volts each, whereas an ordinary non-rechargable cell will be 1.5volts
........... and because your radio is digital there will be a threshold supply voltage below which it won't work at all.

Hi badlad, thanks for your reply, the batts are Energizer AA 2000mAh 1.2volts. so I take it that they just ain`t got the POWER. Trouble is I can`t return them Wilkinson`s now.
