Nope :-)
My dad died when I was 8 years old,he and my mum had been divorced for a few years and he had remarried, his new wife wouldn't allow any of his children from the first marriage to attend the funeral. It is something I will never forgive her for. I have no idea what music....if any....was played at his funeral.
I still miss him more than 30 years later. (;_;)
Next Q - are you just being modest - just between us LOL
oh daffy, that's awful. I don't think I'd be able to forgive her for that either.

Ummm, I know how much your dad meant to you - I'm sure you did him proud; whatever the calibre of your voice xxx
My parents split up when I was 13 and my brother was 3......he buggered off with the woman he eventually married. She never even told us that he'd died but I saw the announcement in the local paper. My brother, sister, and I all turned up at the funeral, much to the old bat's dismay.........as far as we were concerned no matter what had gone on in the past, it's all a matter of paying your last respects.
Ummmm I'm sure your voice is/was pleasing to your dad.
Never went through a parents divorce or remarriage but when MIL died, a BIL who I never got on with didn't want me at the funeral. Put OH in a spot but said no-one was available to babysit (which was true) but I went to pay my respects as the cortege passed
No-one has the right to 'ban' a child/adult from their parents' funeral (unless they have done something absolutely unforgivable I supose - but who's to judge? Not the new spouse).
my mum and dad divorced when I was 17.....the only time i see them together now is my kids birthdays.....one of which is today....tin hats at the ready.....

Ummmm.....(x)
just remembered if I'd stayed with first hubby it would have been our 45th anniversary last week......
My Mum died on on my parents wedding anniversary. They had been divorced for many years . My Dad was poorly at the time and when I popped in to see him in the morning he said he had had a dreadful night and had only just woken up. To which I replied " Well at least YOU woke up " He just reached out and gave me a great big Daddy hug. Oh I miss them both so much.

oops sorry posted on wrong thread - oh dear
i don't remember my father, but, according to my family, that was no great loss. No influence is better than a negative influence I suppose.
My father died when I was 18 and I still have dreams about him - his personality was much closer to mine than my mothers is
