Stupid question probably but when the contract ends and you don't renew it you can keep the box etc, are you still able to record on it? Many thanks.

Yes you a very limited amount of programs. Its worth phoning sky and asking them for one of there free sat card its a one off payment of about �20 then you will get lots of other free channels.

Without doing as oggy777 says, as it is at present in order to record you have to click on a Sky channel, so if you don't renew your contract you won't have any channels to record.
