Not seen many versions of childrens 'local history' books, but we do have a few adult ones.

In addition to my first answer, I think this would be a brilliant idea & I would certainly buy them for my Grandchildren.

I think its a good idea but the school teacher might curse the idea coz its usually a project thingy for kids with prizes for the best .... when I was at school the first prize was The World at War.,(book of tv series) and second prize was a biro pen.... was gutted getting the biro pen....
Now, yes.  When I used to live in Birmingham, probably not!
