I've heard rumours that it is possible to get satellite tv with no time delays. Does anyone know how to do this?

There is only one way. Put the satellite on the ground next to the uplink station, then build your house next door to it.
Satellite television is transmitted from geosynchronous orbits. This is a height of 36,000 km. It takes a minimum of one quarter of a second for the signal to travel from the uplink station to the satellite and back to your house.

In addition there would be delays from the signal being stored in buffers at the ground station and on the satellite. The buffers are there to overcome short signal dropouts.
There must be a way. When TV pictures are beamed from Australia there is no time delay and you are seeing the pictures in virtual real time? However with a phone conversation there is a delay.
