I wanted to record a video track to disc using Real Player.
After I made my list of recordings and pressed "Burn", a message appeared saying I would have to pay 19.95 to acquire the necessary software. Is this a scam? Has anyone else made a DVD using Real Player? I thought that once installed, Real Player was ready to use. I wasn't aware of this. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

You can burn disks with Windows Media Player.

Also, if your PC or laptop came with a recordable DVD drive it almost certainly came with "burning" software installed as well.

Check if you have Nero, or Roxio, or Record Now or similar.
When Real Player is first downloaded it is the "free" basic one.

But there is a Real Player Plus and that is what you are having to pay for.
