My video is on the blink and thought I would replace it with a DVD recorder, is there any inexpensive way of transferring old videos onto DVD?

I would not like to lose them as they are videos of holidays I have had with my late husband.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks a lot for the link VHG, seems pretty straightforward, so I will give it a go.

Just as VHG's link suggests, but personally I use a DVD recorder with a built in hard drive.

I then copy my tape onto the hard drive, and then I can edit it, and when I have cut out the bits I don't need etc. I then copy from the hard drive to a DVD disc. Not forgetting to finalise the disc so that it can be viewed on other players.
