Using Windows Mail

Right, I have had it up to here with my unreliable webmail provider(s). I'm mentioning no names. I want to start using Windows mail on my PC - I'm using Vista. Firstly - any opinions on Windows Mail as a program?

I want to create an email address that is [email protected] or similar for professional purposes and not affiliated to a webmail provider. How do I do this?

I am also hoping to set up a website for myself imminently so should I just stick with the one linked to the domain name for this (I have done this before for something else), or would it be better to have something totally separate?

Am I right in thinking that I should use POP3?
