I have just installed Norton Internet Security 2009 on my girlfriends Laptop which runs Vista Home Premium. The Norton package features amonst other things a Firewall. Do I need to turn off the firewall that (I think) is already set up in the Vista OS? If I do need to, how do I do this? Or can you have both Firewalls operating at ther same time - logic says this might give extra protection - but I admit to being far from savvy with PCs etc!! Thanks for any advice

You should only have one firewall otherwise they can conflict . I think the vista firewall is automatically turned off when an external one is fitted .
Open Security centre in the control panel , will tell you there .
