slr and digital have different object sizes and focal lengths
so even if it will fit - the focus will be altered and f settings will be out (not the end of the world)

as for which
it depends on your budget 20 - 5000

buy a what camera or whatever
The Troll is right, to nail a 35mm SLR lens onto a digital SLR will casue problems. Why not look at a "bridge" camera? I used to have an ME Super and now I have a Fuji 6500fd. If somebody had described its spec to me 10 years ago I'd have said it was an impossible ideal - autofocus; 28 - 300mm zoom, takes negative, slide and b&w shots on the same roll of film, etc etc.
But if I was buying now I'd have this one. http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/consumer/digital/dig ital-cameras/d-slr-long-zoom/finepix-s8100fd-1 19771
