Ok, another more simple one...
If I have two options in cell A1 (3.70 and 4.00)
I now want cell A2 to read as:
20 if A1 is 3.70 and
25 if A1 is 4.00.

Any ideas?!
Excel is doing my nut in (not a good idea to do last thing on a Friday at work!!)!

=if(A1=3.7,"20","25")
or - if you need the value, remove the ""'s
Give it up and use a Mac instead.. that PC ***** aint worth the hassle! ha ha ha

Nosha, if my employers could afford MACS for everyone, I am sure they would [ even though they're only really good for arty c**p and posers ;o) ]

Actually.......
just tried it, if I delete cell A1, it still has 25 in cell A2. How do I make it read as blank if noting is entered in cell A1??
=if(a1=3.7,20,if(a1=4,25,""))
sorry, when you said that you had 2 options I didn't realise that you actually meant 3 options (ie a blank cell)

Don't know how andI am past caring on this one now, but, this was the answer...
=IF(A2=3.7, "20", IF(A2=4, "25", ""))
Perhaps has something to do with spaces? Or Karma? Or Gof?! Who knows......but it works! Thanks people!
