Me, I still get a buzz out of holding a new cd in my hands and looking at the booklet inside and playing it on my stereo for the first time. Same reason I like buying books rather than getting them from the library, I like 'owning' them (to coin a phrase!)

There is that I guess hellie and you can sing along with the lyrics :-) But the albums I get are in cases with downloaded covers too, just not the whole book.
Its not supporting the artist at all. Most of the money goes to the record company 3ight. Charts are now based on downloads so still supports the artist
I do a bit of both, I download tracks that I can't buy in the shops and play them on the MP3 player on my phone, but mostly I buy CDs. I like seeing the cases all nicely stacked up and having the booklets.
I like having the nice cases with the booklets, too. When I had my car accident I had them all out on the passenger seat and nearly every single one of them broke. :(
I cant stand buying an album for over a tenner and being disappointed that the decent songs were the ones that have been in charts and all the rest are rubbish. I have a lot of compilation albums that have been put together. I guess you still pay in some way to use the site that you download them from so I dont feel bad in anyway about it.
As I DJ I download for free and the quality of MP3's is just as good. Bit of a no brainer for me, spend 20 quid a week on music or nothing. I wonder...
The only CD's I have bought in the last 3 years are the Now Series as I have number 14-69
