I assume that you are connecting it using the USB cable and not the AV cable that you use for connecting to your TV?

What operating system are you running?

Which camera is it?
You may need to load software for your PC to recognise the camera, depending on the camera model and/or operating system you are running.

I had a problem with XP recogising my old camera (not supported by XP) the solution was to buy a USB card reader which accepted the camera memory card type (available at your local Poundland). No need for any drivers for the PC to access the memory.

i have the cam about 3 years no prob
i installed a cheap cam that i have
all works ok
as i said the said the cam works ok
when i click print
choose a camera
the canon mvx45i does not show
thank you again
sorry about the delay in replying
Forget the software that came with the camera - it's just a waste of space. Plug in the camera, open my computer, you should see it under either "Devices with Removable Storage" or "Scanners and Cameras". From there you can treat it as just another hard drive. This is how I work with my MVX250i.

Don't forget that you need to set the camera in playback mode AND select the memory card, rather than the tape.
