talk to my computer

Can anyone tell me if there is a programe (free hopefully) where I can talk into my computer, store my voice and then transfer it to a cd? if there is how do I go about doing it

Start/Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/Sound Recorder.

Audacity is free and is much better

SoundRecorder only lets you record for around 60seconds IIRC.
To do longer you need to faff about with it

Thanks rojash and Baswillrun for your answers. I will look at both options. Myriad 2112 i'd like to say , I like the sound of my own voice,LOL but it's for my neice doing a Spanish course and wants to send her answers back in that way. Thanks for asking.

Although my first answer is correct, I agree with bazwillrun that Audacity is much better, and use it myself.
