msn messenger-help needed

i have msn messenger and it used to sign me in automatically whenever i logged on to the net (very useful when friends wanted to contact me whilst i was browsing as i don't have broadband) but now i have to manually sign in every time ,i have ticked the box to allow auto sign in -has anyone got any ideas??

yes my password is saved ,what ever the problem was it seems to have righted itself ,as it seems to be logging me in automatically as it should -bloody computers ,mine seems to have more gremlins than steven speilberg!!
