bad signal on my mobile

We can only get Orange where we live but everyone in our house gets a good signal but I can only get one if I go upstairs and then it's really weak. :-(
Any ideas why ??

try putting your chip in another phone see if signal is better, you might find the ariel is not much cop in your phone

Tried that and it was just the same. Could it be a problem with the sim card rather than the phone ?
