Bad signal on one mobile phone but not the other help.

I have a samsung galaxy 2 on vodaphone but i get quite bad signals everywhere i go! Today at work i had emergency call only so i took out the sim and put it into my old pay as you go phone and i had a full signal!! Can anyone tell me why this is or what i could do about it?

Sounds like a fault in the receiver of the first handset. One could expect a small variation between handsets but not that much of a difference. You could try to get it serviced/repaired, if you thought it worth it.
Old Geezer is right. The first step should be to get it repaired from some mechanic. If it still does not work, you can try some other phone service. Now a day, VoIP phone technology does not work on these signals. You can get any VoIP service like Axvoice, Ooma etc. They work on internet but you have to check first if your phone set is compatible with VoIP phone service or not.
