Computer shutdown

My system has just started to shut down for no apparet reason, error message is' Remote procedure call has terminated un expectedly', any ideas why anybody please?

You may have the Blaster Worm, the symptoms are that only when you're online you get that message about the RPC shutdown. see link question 33600

If you do get online and the message appears then go to your Start menu, select "Command Prompt" and type "shutdown -a" which should stop the machine shutting down

Whoops! you've got BLASTER. on start, go to run the type "msconfig" goto startup and uncheck "msblast". then goto my computer. open windows,then open system32. find msblast then delete it. now go online and get the patch from windows update. hope that helps!

Thankyou all for your answers. I have been to msconfig and cannot find msblast in startup, my Mc afee virus protection is updated automatically weekly, could it be another virus?
