USB 2.0 port not seen

I have Windows XP Professional on my computer. When I turn on my printer, which

connects to a USB port, I get the message:
"This device can perform faster if you connect it to a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port. For a

list of availavle ports, click here".
The usb 2.0 drivers were installed from the CD that came with my motherboard. Any

suggestions?
