hi teash,
i had a hard drive twin tuner recorder,
it was not a daewoo though,
i found it easy to use, recording was simple,
you just highlight the 7 day programer on the
screen, with your remote highlight the
programe you wish to record and push o.k
button on the remote, the recorder does the rest.
the only problem i found & it was a big problem for me,
i had it in my bedroom, i suffer from insomnia
sometimes, & i listen to some of the freeview
radio channels in the night,
i foun d in the early hours, the recorder
was downloading date so i could not use
it till it had finished.
but if this is not a problem for you, i think
you will love it.
( cant remember the make, it was from argos.)
hope this is of help to you.
ray.

cheers ray for your reply, I saw this bit o kit on tv today and thought i`m gonna have to get one of these. I`m the opposite of you and sleep as soon as me head hits the pillow so hopefully the downloading issue wont be a problem for me.
Cheers

Depending on price, I would go for it. Personally I got the Humax version with 160GB HD (we have a Daewoo TV though) on recommendation from magazines. It's been great - the wife loves the ease of use. However, we also had a DVD recorder with HD (overkill?) in which I replaced the HD for a bigger one once it was out of guarantee. This might be possible with the Daewoo (and maybe the Humax - it's still under warranty though). Best of luck - many enjoyable hours ahead!
Teash, meant to put in a link to Humax:-

(probably a bit dearer than the Daewoo)

Cheers for the link W/B looks like a right decent set up but unfortunately its a oner more than the daewoo one, i`ll have to have a serious think because i`m a tight fisted northerner :)
