Dual Layer DVD Disc Copying

I had problems copying a Dual Layer DVD last weekend. Windows was coming up with a navigation error even though I'm using a dual layer burner, a NEC DVDRW ND 3500AG, Nero Express 6.3.1.17 and DVD Shrink 3.2. I couldn't even copy the DVD to the HDD.

A couple of kind people on AB suggested I download and use DVDFAB Decrypter. It worked a treat with Nero and DVD Shrink and as a bonus, it let me copy the dual layer disc onto a normal 4.7GB one. Here's the question:

My question is will DVDFAB Decrypter, in conjunction with DVD Shrink, allow me to copy any dual layer disc to a 4.7GB one avoiding the need to buy dual layer discs to copy to?

Many Thanks

Yes !!

It's best to decrypt and burn to hard drive with DVDFAB or DVD Decrypter and then Shrink the files to fit using DVD SHRINK - it's a process I use when backing up my DVD's everytime. I then burn them using DVD Decrypter. This produces a region free disk of excellant quality.
