Has anyone any experience of the Tesco pay-as-you-go mobile phone service. What is it like? I'm thinking in particular of their Vodafone service.
As I understand it, the phones have a Tesco SIM card installed, yet you can choose if you want to use their own tariff or Vodafone. How does this work?
Does this mean they have negotiated special rates with Vodafone and are these cheaper than Vodafone's normal tariff? I assume you can only buy the airtime in a Tesco store?
I'm living in an area where Vodafone is the only reliable service right now - there are numerous signal blackspots with the other networks. I take it that I'd receive the same standard of service with a Vodafone networked Tesco mobile? How do they run the network without their own masts?
Sorry, if I sound a bit naive about this, but I know next to nothing about mobile phone technology!

am far as i am aware,Tesco mobile have teamed up with o2 and they use there masts.I dont think tesco mobile put in halve as much money as vodafone,So i would say no you wouldnt get the same level of service ie products and customer service
I have had a cheap phone from Tesco for 3 years now with no problems at all.
I have a tesco payg sim card, and it is with O2. I was not given an option as to what network I wanted, so presume that is beacuse it is only with O2????
