On my computer I am running AVG 7.5 anti virus and also after advice I am running AVAST! 4.7 anti virus as well .
Do I need to run both of these programs.

Remove avast!!

It's a terrible idea to have two anti-virus apps running at the same time.

I'm simply posting to back up Fo3nix.

Running two ant-virus programs simultaneously can do some very nasty things to your PC's registry. AVG 7.5 is perfectly good enough. Ditch Avast!

can I ask why you said to ditch Avast? I have that installed on my home computer but now wondering whether to switch to AVG 7.5. Is this, in your opinion, better than Avast?

I have had the free AVG for two years and in the last fortnight put the new AVG 7.5 and had no trouble whatsoever,before this had MacFee and had loads of problems.
