I now have two computers and only one internet connection (broadband) and I was wondering if there is any way that I can connect the second computer to the internet using the same land line, to make a computer network? Also, if I did manage to do it, would it my broadband bill cost more? Thanks.

You would need a router to do this to give the second computer independence(ie the main computer doesnt have to be on for the 2nd to connect). Most routers these allow you to connect up wirelessly or wired. It wont cost anymore on your bill.
You could just run a patch lead from one to the other but as explained above, the PC with the current Internet connection would need to be running to allow the second PC to connect, this may or may not be an issue, its just a cheaper way of doing it, depending on distance between the two PCs and if a cable between the two would be a problem.

Thanks both, it doesn't sound as hard as I thought it would be.
we've got a simple wireless network after having a patch lead trailing from room to room for ages. Its great and the other computer no longer needs to be on

Well that sounds like the best option then. Thanks.
