it often results in a 'public' fall out too, sad for those concerned

Mwah, mwah, mwah ... (big hug) ... x x x
is this your own personal experience?
Yeah, I spent all day poking Ummmm, but I wan't comfortable with it.
oops type your answer here...errrm shouldn't have been there
I was enjoying it Nazzy :-)
It depends on the level of it. When I was single I swore I would never have a profile picture of me and my bf as it's just smug and showing off. Guess what now I have a bf....

Sometimes he'll post a video of a song on my page that means something to us which I really like and doesn't really mean anything or would be very obvious to anyone else. I have seen things before there where people seem to live their entire relationship through facebook and it makes me want to vomit.
I only take the pee out of my OH on there...
I agree Limpy - lots of false lovely dovey comments on social networking sites.
I don't think public displays of affection on FB are particularly worrying (unless it's someone you've never bloody met), I tend to ignore them. However, don't think it's suitable on public forums in much the same away I think a couple who are practically shagging on the street might want to tone it down a little bit.

Abuse of your other half publically is always acceptable for maximum comic effect obviously... ;0)
i don't like it when people play their relationship out on line for all to see - some things should be private, esp when they are having rows and making digs at each other using their status's
I don't even tell real life people if we row....certainly wouldn't put it into cyber world...
ooooh don't stop baby!!!
Is this going to be a Jacqui Smith dirty video in the making - Redditch Film Productions - Head Office an address in South London.
how are you so familiar with things like that?
Anyone can type affectionate words, it's saying those words to the persons face which really matter and mean something
