Hi all, I recently went to BT Broadband, after being with AOL. At first the speed was about 2 (sorry not very good with pc terms) But now its 4.8....anyone else had the same probs?

i wouldn't call that a problem! it does take Broadband lines a while to stabalise though, so thats probably where the leaps coming from.
i agree with boink, 4.8 more than twice as good as 2! I've only got a half so you're lucky whichever it is!
All speeds are going to 8MB
anywhere between 2 - 8 is likely as some connections are too far from the Exchange to have a reliable 8MB connection. It may take a while to stabilise as your ISP connects and disconnects to attain the highest speed possible

Hope this helps

Thanks for your replies.... I have been with BT for over 2 weeks, so thought it would of sorted itself out by now. I am on Option 2 Which should be around 2MB. But its just got slower.
