Pikies, why can't we just move them on instantly?

Just moved on a load of Pikies from my Rugby club took us week, in which time they've left mountains of sh1t for us to clear up, to make the particular sports area usable again. The police where very helpful and booted them off this morning, credit where it's due guys.Why oh why oh why can't the councils be given powers to move this human sub class off private land instantly and impound thier Mercs and Porches to pay for cleaning up the damage? Why must we be plagued by these parasites who have opted out of society but don't seem to mind leaching off it? Ok yoghurt knitters, I know Human rights, yadda yadda yadda!

I agree absolutely Loosehead. There was a crowd invaded Mitcham Common a couple of years ago. When they left, the mess was indescribable. Even human excrement all over the footpaths. The trouble is you daren't approach because they set vicious dogs at you.
The conservators put up large earth levies, and so far that has kept them off.

You are not alone ...when I lived in South London they were a problem .I now live in Norfolk and they are even more of a problem .In our local paper today there is a warning that they will be advancing any minute onto land adjacent to our lovely beaches where they will leave an eyesore behind them that does nothing for the people who holiday here and puts them off coming back again.I agree... the amount of mess they leave behind is abominable and it's my council tax that goes to cleaning up the debris.
Proper travellers respect the laws of the land but pikey types don't unfortunately and it's always the taxpayer who foots the bill.

Just for clarification - what are 'Pikies'? I deduce from the questions and answers that you are referring to 'travelling people' or perhaps 'gypsies'. I share most of the sentiments expressed about these, I use the term loosely, people, but up here in my sheltered life in Scotland I've never heard them called 'Pikies'. (By the way, when does the World Cup start?).
I know a chicken farmer that had pikeys on a field of his ... he politely asked them to move and they didn't, so he cleaned out his chicken sheds into his muck-spreader and drove all round the field spreading fresh chicken ***** all over the pikey camp.

So, in answer to your question ... befriend a chicken farmer, it's much quicker than using the law.

ACB, Pikies is a derogatory term for Gypsies. Most of the people who make the mess aren't Gypsies at all, but either people pretending to be Gypsies or people who tip rubbish and then blame it on Gypsies.
Gypsies are some of the nicest, cleanest people in society, which you'd find if you took the trouble to get to know them. We have an abandoned playing field at the end of our road (three gardens away from me). Gypsies have never camped there yet, and now the council want to built a load of houses on it for a load of chavs who will never do a day's work as long as they live (why they can't rebuild over some of the old factory sites is beyond me). I tell you, I'd rather have a dozen Gypsy vans there any time.

Taff, they are never taxed or insured, the police turn a blind eye they are effectively above the law. It's only hardw orking tax paying idiots like us that have to adhere to the law..

Ah Loosehead I assume you meant me when you wrote Parkesway!!. As it so happens, going to ones local Rugby Club and contributing to the funds was always the way to get rid of trouble such as squatters etc. Although I may have said it in a jokey manner don't for one moment think that I am on the side of those who show no respect for others or their property.
Haven't got a problem with genuine gypsies and wouldn't tar them with the same brush as pikies & travellers. Credit where credit is due saxy & nox I think most of us can distinguish between the two. One is an actual race of people & the other are a bunch of roving thiefs.
