Just posted about a missing @ sign but i just discovered that somehow the number 2 key has swapped with the ' key so if i want the @ sign i have to press 2 and shift!!! This is weird... Does anyone know how this could have happened?

Thanks. Just tried that and the settings were on United Kingdom. It has'nt gone back... I did have a similar problem to EDDIE51 as my pc was infested so i had to faff about re-installing XP and Formating certain drives.. Do you think this has anything to do with it?

Go to the control panel and open Regional and Language Options.

On the Regional options tab make sure both drop down lists say United kingdom.

On the Languages tab under Details button make sure default language is United Kingdom. On same page make sure Installed Services is United Kingdom.

On the Advanced tab make sure Language is United Kingdom.

Check they are all set to United Kingdom then press OK to save the changes.

REBOOT to pick up all these changes.

It should now be OK.
