You can't connect a USB broadband modem to your wireless router.

You need a wireless router with a built-in modem. Maybe yours is - what's the make and model?

Alternatively you could buy another modem which is not USB. ISPs generally provide USB modems which are for connecting 1 PC to your broadband connection.

hi its a D- LINK model DI-514
You may need an ethernet connection to join the pc to the router. These are as little as 4.99 from PCWorld and go into one of the slots at the back of the PC (PCI slots). Dead simple to install and any PC instruction manual will give the basic details. You'll also need an ethernet cable, which are more expensive but may come with the router.

Hi Hawki,

Unfortunately, the DI-514 does not have a built in Modem, so you will either need to but a modem, or a router with a built in one.I would go for the built in option, and you can buy them for around 40.
