I just tried to update spybot s&d but keep getting bad checksum error.

Hi there - I get this too. Its just because the server that send the updates may be down. The only thing you can do is try another one: When you Press the search for updates button, you can see a tiny arrow pointing down. Press that, and a list will come up. You can then choose where to download the updates from. I start with the top one and work my way down. Its very annoying, but apart from that, theres nothing you can do.

Wahey! This is why I love AB!!!!! I have had this problem for ages and just figured I would have to put up with it (prob too complicated & all that)

Just browsing thru the topics and hey presto found what I wasn't even looking for!! lol Cheers! :o)

Hi, i've had this problem too. but i've found that after searching for the updates, if you tick the relevant boxes then leave it for a minute or so everything seems to download fine. i've had no bad check sum errors since doing this.

Yes I have seen this from time to time. I expect the SpyBot server is busy. Sometimes the download just stays displaying the "flying folders" for ever, I press cancell with no action. So I just do another search for downloads, this seems to make it recover then tick the boxes to download, and try again.

It is a very helpful free piece of software, it's great people/companies make/do things like this.
