I have recently purchased one of these cameras and am having trouble with video, i can take videos ok (I think) and can see the playback on the camera but the videos do not seem to be visible when i put the card into laptop for downloading. Any idea what i am missing here? Thanks

They should be in the folder named PRIVATE > M4ROOT > CLIP

or PRIVATE > AVCHD > BDMV > STREAM

Just out of interest you can use Clipchamp on a Windows computer to do basic editing if you wish. Useful to cut bits off the front/back of the clip etc.

To be fair, barry, the manual says that video is in AVCHD format, so searching the memory card for that would be a good start.
