It is for me probably the most useful bit of kit, I have been so organised.

It reminds me six weeks in advance of insurance renewals (I like to shop around); two weeks notice for birthdays, anniversaries etc.

It makes sure I never miss an appointment or forget a delivery date.

Just as usefully it is easy to see when I last saw that consultant who insisted he see me every three months, or when that fridge was delivered months ago.

It even tells me what bins to put out every Monday.

Do you use one?

Yes! I wouldn't be without it. We currently have an almost unused diary sitting by the phone.

Haven't used a paper diary for years. I watched Rip Off Britain the other day and a chap was complaining because he didn't get a letter from his insurance company reminding him to renew his car insurance. He got done three months later. He had a pc and a smart phone. Why not set up his own reminders? Annoyed me 😁

I don't like sliced bread, it's cut it too thin.

But I do like reminders because I forget everything

I used a diary on my older iPad for years. I even paid for it. I made many entries, journal information etc. Apple updated the system, then I couldn't access the software. Developers no longer support it. Up swan creek without a paddle. ALWAYS have paper backup.

I agree with David.  I use my phone for reminders but I wouldn't rely solely on that.   I keep a paper diary too.

I have an on-wall calendar.

That's tough, David.  My calendar is automatically backed up to a file on my hard drive, so no worries there

I have visions of Douglas taking his on-wall calender out with him eg, to the dentist in case a follow-up appointment is needed. Does he take it off the wall first, or does he take the wall with him?

Somebody's been at the magic mushrooms.

Bhg makes a good point. Very easy to make appointments and other arrangements out and about when your calendar is on your phone.  No conflicting dates

Yes, it's very useful, I keep a track of everything from anniversaries to MOT reminder's. I used to have bin collections as well but the council has now a bin collection calendar on line for us to check or print out.

Iozzy in the Uk they offer three thicknesses of sliced bread. ( information only, not much use for an Australian😏)

Question Author

At least 4 different slices - thin, medium, thick, toastie

What was the best thing BEFORE sliced bread? Unsliced bread?

Rolls

My mobile calendar and my tablet calendar remind me of occasions. No need to be on-line.  Very useful for regular occassions and one off appointments.

What calendar do you use on your money mobile, OG?

Dunno about a money mobile 😉 but both bits of tech are Samsung Android and come with 'Calendar'.
