Help With New Tablet.

I have just got a new Lenovo tablet..is there any way I can transfer data from old Vankyo tablet which I cannot switch on as the contact for the charger is broken.

I'd imagine you'd have to have the old one plugged in and powered to do that wrayperson

So I've lost everything on my old tablet😭 I can't charge it as connection in tablet is broken so can't get enough power to turn it on.

no, you haven't lost everything, just take out the disc drive and buy a USB adapter for it and then you'll have all the files, just copy off your personal ones to your new machine.

If you take it to a PC shop they'll recover the files for you.

Does the old tablet have a SIM card Wrayperson? Any photos etc could be on it, another way would be to take both to maybe one of these phone shops who may have a cable to fit the old one, and they might be able to retrieve your stuff for you

Sorry just noticed it's a tablet, it will still have drive probably SSD. A PC repair shop should be able to retrieve the data or possibly repair the charge point. Consider cloud storage of some sort then it won't matter in the future.

Do you mean the tablet port is broken, the bit you plug the charger in to?

Whenever I have a new Android device I simply log in to my Google account and everything is there.

I think the tablet has emmc flash drive, not SSD.

I don't know if there is any sort of device that will connect it to a PC like a hard drive caddy

I am sure a repair shop could break into it and solder a temporary socket on so that they or you could power it up before moving data and scrapping it.
Thats what I would attempt anyway!

It's an easy job to replace a port, I think I paid £20 to get mine replaced
