It is simple, no extensions - yet. I like it.

I'd like your opinions, also the browser you usually use. I use several. Edge, Chrome, Vivaldi and Brave currently.

New one on me. Firefox on here and chrome for browsing with yahoo uk
I have often used Duck Duck Go, is there a new version, barry?
Question Author
It's still in beta but seems stable enough to me. I gave up on Firefox some time ago, it seemed very resource hungry, don't know if it's improved
I've tried many browsers but still keep going back to chrome, it cant be beaten in my eyes I'm not concerned about prying eyes just want something that works fast and i no bother unlike some others
I used DDG a couple of years ago but now use mostly Edge
Just Chrome - suits me.
I've had trouble getting to several sites recently from Google Chrome - and started using the Tor browser. That has DuckDuckGo as the default search engine. I've not used in in earnest yet as I usually go straight to the download sites I was having trouble getting to.

I seem to remember that DDG doesn't store your personal details or search history etc.
still using firefox,
Yes been using it a while now. It is good & simple.
I tried DDG ages ago & didn't like it, though I don't recall why, exactly.

I use Firefox, Edge, Chrome & Opera daily.
I use Chrome and Opera, I also have Firefox but don't use it.
What's Edge like?
Question Author
Edge is much better than it used to be - quite whizzy with built in AI, I particularly like its 'summariser' which gives a brief explanation in answer to my queries.
Question Author
LadyCG, DDG only released its first browser in March this year. Maybe you tried the search engine in a different browser.

GetOverIt, no tracking in DDG.
Barry, I was definitely using DDG on my phone the year before last. I have it as an APP.
Question Author
Yes, the app is good but I am referring to the browser for your Windows PC.
There's a new version is there ? I use many browsers, ddg included. No idea if I need to update it or whether I already have done. Or, like just about every app these days, it's updated itself against my specific setting.
Why do any of you use multiple browsers?
Oh Windows. I may well have it. Not in a position to check. Will have ff & chrome plus one or two more.
a) to contrast & compare. b) because I like to keep interesting tabs open, lots of them, and don't want all my eggs in the one basket. Besides not every browser shows every webpage correctly.
I've been using Slimjet for ages now. Like most other modern browsers (including Chrome), it's based upon the 'developer level' Chromium browser. It comes with a built-in ad blocker and YouTube downloader and can make use of any extensions that are designed for Chrome. It's got anti-tracking built into it and, unlike Chrome, doesn't feed users' data back to Google. It's also extremely fast.

For anyone who wants to try it, I recommend reading my post at the foot of this page, which explains how to configure it to the way that you want it to be:
