Hi am looking to buy a dvd/video combo. Have loads of video's that will not be repeated again. I think i am right in saying, if I bought one of these machines I can them transfer my video's onto dvds. But are these machines any good?? if so anyone recommend what make are the best. cheers

i think you will find that a combo dvd/video player,will not be able to record one to the other,you would need a dvd recorder to record from video to dvd,i not sure if you can get a dvd recorder combo.
Yes you can! you need to look for the right machine that is capable of 'dubbing'...In theory you put your video in one side your recordable dvd in the other, press the button and you are away...generally the quality will be retained if not marginally improved as it has gone throug a digital process.
